What we build
WordPress. Bespoke software.
AI running through both.
We’ve been building websites and software for businesses across the South West and beyond since 2008. WordPress has always been our core. Bespoke software sits alongside it for the problems a website can’t solve. And increasingly, AI is part of how we approach both.
WordPress & WooCommerce
WordPress is what we know
better than anything else.
We’ve built exclusively in WordPress since we started. Small B&Bs, national brands, e-commerce stores with hundreds of thousands of products, tourism sites, booking platforms. Across nearly two decades the technology has changed, and we’ve changed with it.
We build bespoke: no off-the-shelf themes, no proprietary page builders that lock you in. When the project is done, any competent WordPress developer can pick it up. That’s by design.
Example project
Inline Filters
One of the largest WordPress WooCommerce sites in the world. 800,000 SKUs, complex product filtering, built to handle serious commercial traffic. Hidden away in Doublebois, Cornwall.
Example project
St Ives School of Painting
Course listings, online bookings, and a site that does justice to one of the most well-known art schools in the South West.
- Bespoke WordPress builds, designed and developed from scratch
- WooCommerce stores, from straightforward retail to complex catalogues
- Course and event booking systems
- Tourism and hospitality sites built for high seasonal traffic
- Multi-site builds linking separate properties under one architecture
- Migration from proprietary platforms to open-source WordPress
- WCAG 2.2 accessibility compliance as standard
- Monthly rolling maintenance, no long tie-ins
- UK-based renewable energy hosting via Nimbus
Bespoke software
When a website isn’t
the right tool for the job.
Some problems need something built specifically for them. A workflow that doesn’t fit any off-the-shelf product. An internal tool that needs to work with the way your business actually operates. A booking or reporting system with requirements a standard plugin can’t meet.
We scope these carefully. The diagnostic process matters here more than anywhere else. The cost of building the wrong thing in bespoke software is higher than almost anywhere else in digital.
Example project
Statesman Rail
Luxury rail holidays, custom booking software built to handle complex itineraries and availability alongside a WordPress front-end. Both sides of the build delivered by the same team.
Example project
Mars Wrigley
Internal health and safety reporting tool for one of the world’s largest confectionery businesses. Built to their specific operational requirements.
- Internal tools and business process software
- Custom booking and availability systems
- Reporting and data management platforms
- Integrations between existing systems that don’t talk to each other
- Client-facing portals and dashboards
- Always scoped with a diagnostic first. We define the problem before we build
AI implementation
AI isn’t a separate service.
It runs through everything we do.
We’re not selling AI as a product. We’re using it where it genuinely makes the work better or faster: in our WordPress builds, in bespoke software, and occasionally as a standalone integration for clients who have a specific problem it can solve.
We use it in our own process too: for research, synthesis, and speeding up parts of the diagnostic. When we implement it for clients, we’re always clear about what it can and can’t do.
- On WordPress projects Content tools, search improvements, personalisation, and smarter form handling where it adds real value.
- On software projects Automating repetitive processes, summarising data, flagging anomalies, building smarter internal tools.
- Standalone AI work Where a client has a specific workflow problem that AI is genuinely the right answer for, we’ll scope and build it properly.
- In the diagnostic We use AI to synthesise data and surface patterns faster. The analysis and the judgement are still ours.
Not sure what
you actually need?
That’s a good place to start. Most of our best projects begin with a conversation about a problem, not a spec. Tell us where you are and what isn’t working. We’ll be straight with you about what we think.
